Gillian is an experienced non executive director who advises boards and senior management on corporate governance, risk management and board effectiveness.
Gillian brings a wealth of experience with a proven track record as an effective non executive director on private sector, government and not for profit boards.
As an experienced financial services, infrastructure and major projects lawyer Gillian has over 30 years experience as a financial services and major projects lawyer. Whilst a partner of Minter Ellison, Gillian had a broad based transactional and advisory practice including advising borrowers and lenders on corporate finance transactions, project finance for infrastructure and resources projects, debt capital markets and social impact investments, and major transactions for Government.
Gillian was a member of the MinterEllison Partnership Board from 2004 to 2009 and Chairman of the firm from 2006 to 2009. She is now a Director of QIC Limited, and a Director of Australian Rail Track CorporaLontion Limited (ARTC). ARTC is a Commonwealth Government business that operates the Australian interstate rail freight network. She was previously a Member of the Capital Markets Board of Queensland Treasury CorporaLontion (QTC) from 2005 to 2014 and Chair of the whole of Board Risk Commiqeeittee and the Funding and Markets Commiqeettee for QTC for over five years and a Director of DBCT Holdings Pty Ltd (Queensland Government owned lessor of the Dalrymple Bay coal export terminal in Mackay, Queensland) from 2001 to 2011.
